On Monday, October 9, the Kiawah Conservancy will partner with Kiawah Island Golf Resort to install a new native plant learning garden at the Nature Center at Night Heron Park and we need your help!
Along with a morning of planting, you will also learn about landscaping with native plants from Erin Stevens, landscape architect and president of Surculus, who created the landscape designs for this project.
We encourage volunteers to arrive at 9:00 am for an introduction and to begin planting. At 12:00 pm, sandwiches will be provided for all volunteers and we’ll hear from our project coordinators. We hope you are able to join us for this community event. All are welcome! There will be a kid’s planting station as well.
Please bring a refillable water bottle; a water station is located inside The Nest. It is also recommended to bring small garden tools, gloves, sunscreen, and bug spray.
