Are you interested in creating habitat for wildlife in your home’s landscape? If so, we have a program just for you. The Kiawah Conservancy is hosting a series of casual information sessions in the Naturally Kiawah Demonstration Garden at Night Heron Park.  Registration is not required for these free educational programs, just meet us in the garden (weather permitting).  Dates, speakers, and topics are as follows:

May 3 @ 10am: Kiawah Island Wildlife Biologist and Master Bander, Aaron Given, will discuss Eastern Bluebirds and the Nest Box Monitoring Program

June 7 @ 10am: Kiawah Island Golf Resort's Flowering Bed Specialist, Sharon Brackney, will discuss Plants that Attract Beneficial and Beautiful Insects and When to Plant Them

July 5 @ 10am: Water Resources Agent for the Clemson Extension Service and Carolina Clear program, Kim Morganello, will discuss Rain Gardens for the Home Landscape

August 2 @ 10am: Florist Anne Cothran will discuss plantings in your garden for floral arrangements

September 6 @ 10am: Kiawah Conservancy Land Preservation Coordinator, Justin Core, will discuss the Naturally Kiawah Habitat Recognition Program and other conservation efforts

October 4 @ 10am: Landscaper Danny Berryman will discuss Landscape Design and Implementation
