Monthly Kiawah Island Sweeps

The Kiawah Conservancy and the South Carolina Aquarium are holding Island Sweeps on the third Saturday of every month!

These litter sweeps help keep Kiawah beautiful and clean for families, friends, and wildlife. We also catalogue the types of trash we’re picking up for the Aquarium’s Litter-Free Digital Journal where the data is used to help us get a better understanding of what the most common types of litter are.

By joining in an Island Sweep, you’re helping fight pollution right here on Kiawah Island as well as across South Carolina by participating in the Aquarium’s statewide citizen science campaign.

This is a free event. All necessary materials and a water refill station will be provided. Dress for the weather and bring a reusable water bottle.

We look forward to seeing you there!
