May Morning at the Beach

What draws visitors and residents alike to the beach early on summer mornings? You’re right…the chance to see baby sea turtles! This framed and matted color photograph was taken by the very talented Jack Kotz. While on Turtle Patrol Jack saw some newly hatched turtles scurrying across the sand. He waited patiently, and then photographed this loggerhead hatchling just as it entered the Atlantic Ocean for the very first time. Framed dimensions 20in x 26in.

This amazing one-of-a-kind six-inch soft sculpture is entirely handsewn and needle sculpted. Made from Sea Island cotton batik, he has onyx eyes and is embellished with silk and lurex thread embroidery and vintage glass seed beads.
